It’s week 21 of 2026, close to the midpoint. And I am nearly there too.

So far a very good year for my sketchbooks:

• Keeping those lines open to ourselves – Jan
• What fools we were not to have known – Feb
• Cool fry – March
• You eat, you look, then you look back – and it’s over – May

The cover of my next sketchbook – on the right – is a lino print I made the other day. My first lino! The little tornado is a good teacher.

By now you know – a steady rate of drawing usually means a steady rate of tragedy.
